Less appeal, More clarification request. Notes are terrible

Banned from Roles: command, Captain, Head of Personnel, Chief Engineer, Quartermaster, Chief Medical Officer, Research Director, Head of Security for 3 days - 24637 - command 1.1 as the captain ordered the BSA to be built in a “Funny location” which ended up being at arrivals (which was one of your suggestions) then wiped AI of it’s laws also “because funny”. You have almost 2500 hours on the server and many of them as command by this point you should know what is expected when playing as command.
State your appeal:
First: I’d appreciate it if admins kept a balanced note taking method, instead of one that reads heavily vilified. Point by point on that to come.
Second: I’d also appreciate knowing WTF “command 1.1 " refers to here. 1.1 is about NOT taking over new players agency. It’s about letting them have fun an learn and NOT being a “YOU MUST PLAY MY WAY” tyrant.
" They are not intended to become do-it-all members of their departments.” Doesn’t apply to anything said to me, or on the note. if it’s trying to refer to competence…well mass casualties caused where? I didn’t see any other than the no-sec-on-shift standards.

Third: What is wrong with FUNNY in a game? It’s a GAME, you have FUN, or there’s no point.

to whit the BS: The engineer made sure to have atmo fans for the BSA and arrivals wasn’t death-to-arrivals like many games I’ve joined. I also informed the Engineer to move the control console away after it was built, negating any security concerns. Please describe to what you would have done in my place. Bonus points if you’ve got some links.

to whit the ai: Other command asked me to wipe the Ion law. the Ai was already on “I can kill you if I feel mean” “punishment” lawset, and with 10 minutes left I didn’t feel like playing games after the AI (or the nearby engiborg) shut down the APC in the upload chamber. If it became a problem, I’d have dealt with it. Since it wasn’t an active problem, I let sleeping dog lie and laughed at the fun. Please describe to what you would have done in my place. Bonus points if you’ve got some links. Command 1.1 As I know it does not apply.

now, back to the first: Admeme here isn’t descriptive on what they feel I’ve done wrong. This is unfair to me in that i can’t easily correct myself, and it’s unfair to any future admin reading the note as they will only see what is quite frankly an a-hole description of events. (the description, not the descriptor)

Of note: “You have almost 2500 hours on the server” Is quite true! And I’ve seen Arrivals BSA before, without this kind of hot water for it. Kindly point out (in the note not just here) where “acceptable BSA locations” is in the labyrinthine rules here at fulp.gg. Obviously it’s not the Command 1.1 I’m reading. So where?

Did you suggest the BSA be built in arrivals?

My actual suggestion were something like

~15 mins in “How is BSA going? Oh zero percent? build it in a funny place”

“wel yess arrivals would be funny, whiteship dock is also funny, Ai core is also funny”

I also told the engineer to make sure the barrel was pointed WAY from the station, and again to move the control console after it was deployed, before they actually built it.

That’s still NOT 1.1, and I would like to see a list of acceptable BS places if there is a list. I don’t see the problem when it’s not actively cutting the station in half. Especially when I’ve seen Arrivals and departures BSA more than a few times. without an admeme PSA about it in the after-match or next-game-pregame OOC.

Making sure I’m clear here: I don’t care much about the ban, Command is LOW priority because I’m not a fan of the nebulous requirements that change based on he whims of whoever is poking there nose into the round without actually WATCHING the round.

What I care about is the NOTES left on me: They are POORLY descriptive, and they Do Not Provide An Example Of Expected Better to contrast. They also list a rule that when I look it up is “nebulous” at best, and even then I can’t see how it applies to the situation.

Command 1.1 refers to players A- knowing the mechanics well enough to command their department, and B, know server rules well enough to command the department within the expectations of our MRP standards.

Suggesting that engineering build the BSA in a place that is very likely to result in it being compromised or accidentally cutting the station in half is neither of these things, so the ban is staying. Actually, I’m glad to hear command is such a low priority for you; we can extend this to a perma since this is far from your first time not taking the role seriously and getting in trouble for it. Notes are as descriptive as they need to be for the next mod to know what happened and how a ban should be progressed; this isn’t the place to argue them.
