State your appeal: I see what they think, but I’d rather have a reduced ban for over-escalation if that’s what they are trying to get at. Me and a sec were at an escape pod that we barricaded, and I was trying to defend it. Suddenly (from my perspective) prisoners start breaking down the barriers, and the one i killed had a revival crystal (typically these are antags right? I’m very innexperienced with this), so I destroy the crystal to try and stop the supposed antag from doing anything bad… then i get sent to centcomm prison. So, I’m guessing destroying the crystal and trying to fully kill the baddie is over-escalation yes? I’m just asking for reduced ban cause I don’t know about this Magic Miner stuff.

  1. Over-escalation infractions result in a server ban, not a role ban. You are asking to be banned for something that carries a more severe ban.

  2. What you would “rather” have as a ban is totally irrelevant.

  3. Ethereals all have a revival crystal. If you aren’t aware of that, you don’t have enough experience in-game to be playing security.

  4. You can’t kill someone on sight for being an antag (in most cases) as a sec officer. If you aren’t aware of that, you don’t have enough experience in-game to be playing security.

This ban was placed correctly, so the appeal is denied. Learn to play the game with a role that won’t ruin the round for other people as you figure out what you’re doing then try sec again in a few days.
