How the hell do i use portable generators?

this one didnt work. putting the generator on a cable leading to smes didnt make the emitters turn on(light green)

has to be hooked up with an apc and has to have plasma to run

You have to use a wrench on it to hook it to the wire below it, and then insert plasma sheets into it so it can produce power. And turn it on, of course.
