What happened:
Midway through the round, we receive an AI who makes the mistakes of turning off its own APC, I, as the acting captain, manage to figure that out quickly by going to the sat myself and turning it back on then announce to the crew what the issue was and that the AI wasn’t in any way malf and why exactly the AI wasn’t responsive.
Later on, Maxim Bould puts down a powersink which proceeds to sap off the station’s powernet and as the APCs fall to 0%, Canna blames the AI which isn’t too bad for now even though it would have been hard for an AI to remove the charge of all APCs on the station nearly all at once.
Even later on, the cult sends a wraith to destroy Tcomms, upon realizing that comms aren’t working I immediately leave for the AI sat to check on them (we’re on meta).
I check the status of comms and use the request console there to send out an announcement that despite previous claims in common, the AI isn’t malf and that the hub and servers were manually dismantled and not simply turned off. Upon leaving Tcomms through the down entrance and circling to the transit tube, I see a random mime and Canna-Osbourn in an AI-controlled modsuit.
Since I wanted to check the AI’s laws myself I decide to check on the core myself, after Canna announces they’re going to kill it I very clearly tell them that I want to card it first to verify its lawset, Canna of course ignores it as as we approach the AI’s chamber as they rush through the stunning lasers with their stun-immune AI controlled modsuit and kill the AI as the mime and I are stuck outside the room trying to figure out the laser.
The AI was never malf, the power issue was caused by Maxim who had placed a powersink, AIs aren’t able to get rid of all of the station’s APCs’ charges that fast nor is an AI able to dismantle Tcomms machinery and even then I announced that I was taking care of it and I never asked a random roboticist to follow me. They ignored me completely when I said I wanted to card it before they were to kill it and we weren’t ever able to revive it due to the powersink screwing over the AI integrity restoring machinery.
I’m also dubious of how they acquired their AI controlled modsuit as the research logs show several entries where they did research themselves despite us having gotten an RD like 10 minutes in but there might be more to it than I’m aware.
