I was made the HOS after I stole a bunch of syndicate items and gave them to the Captain because we had no security. The Captain got husked and the HOP decided I should be the new Captain. I then changed the AI laws and resigned from my heroic space duties to return to Clownship and then was imprisoned by Centcomm.
I do not understand what I did wrong besides giving the Mime the Captain’s PDA (because they are the Mime and I am the Clown)
Please explain it in depth.

When you give such a law to ai, it means that he can plasmaflood and kill everyone on station, doing so when you aren’t antag that requires such action like dagd and shuttle is called or you are wizard.
Even as antag you can’t give such laws to the ai unless you are allowed to kill everyone on station yourself.
Giving AA to anyone as Captain and HOP is something that usually gets such players job banned from command.
I am not too sure if its against the rules for you to be clown captain if HOP approves of you, but generally HOP assumes captainship if captain is dead or if HOP doesn’t want to, he can let other heads take such position. Either way if you are a captain under any situation, you should probably act as one and not give AA or give AI laws that would allow grief.
You took the captain’s gear (including ID),
Armed random crewmembers with AA,
Took the HOS’ gear (including hardsuit),
Armed random people using the armory (didn’t get brought up but I watched you)
Purged the AI’s laws and uploaded a “do whatever law”,
And when told that purging and uploading a “do whatever lawset” is not ok and to fix it, decided to test your luck by uploading a new lawset (without fixing the purge) that was using OOC IC
And these were only the things I saw you do as I was floating around that round.
HOP gave me AA and made me HOS. The Mime is not a random crew member, it is the only other crew member of my department as a Clown. Can you not read?
If this was an issue you should have brought it up when you saw it. I don’t see anything wrong with an AI law by a clown instructing it to break the fourth wall on an MRP server.
And the AI is clearly not going to plasma flood the station because it has a law stating that it is a Clown.
The “fourth wall” is a known comical routine; if you’re banning me over the usage of “admins” instead of “gods”, well then you’re banning me over linguistic semantics.
not only does it have nothing about taking antag/traitor items, but it defines self-antagging as acting as an enemy of the station which i did not do despite the fact i was banned for “self-antagging”
Self Antagging: Acting as an enemy of the station when not one, i.e. making yourself ‘valid’. More often than not, these are capital crimes. If it’s something only an antag would reasonably do- like bombing a department - don’t do it.
and going by your rules, because i was promoted to HOS by the Captain and HOP, I was a legitimate acting Captain and no longer a regular crew member. And as Clown-Captain I added a law stating that the AI was a “free clown”, not that it should plasma flood the station.

Power Gaming: Obtaining items/power or doing things outside of the scope of your department or skill range to have a greater advantage. More often than not this is playing to ‘win’, whether it be at a certain mechanic, game mode or anything else. This includes giving others no room or ability to act or ‘win’ themselves. These rules are relaxed for players with antag status.
