In many areas where you use silicon, you can use sodium in smaller amounts, for example 1 part sodium is enough for 100% pure oil

I think the reason blaber chose to use silicon instead of other chems is because silicon isn’t used up in any other reaction except like space lube (which purity doesn’t matter and you probably wouldn’t be automating anyways)
